"Flow" is the intrinsic nature of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Formed 1.1 billion years ago as a result of the failed Midcontinent Rift. A sequence of rock layers formed, made up primarily of Black Lava, created the amazing landscape of the keweenaw as we knowit today.
