I come in praise of snow
Although, as I write this we are destined for a green Christmas in two days. It isn't that we haven't had a lot of precipitation; it's just that it has been rain. They are predicting sun for Christmas Day, and that is perfectly timed for the article we put up on MyNorth.com, "12 ways to Love a Green Christmas in Northern Michigan." After I read that article, I couldn't help but feel that we are awfully lucky when that list is our fallback position. And if by chance we go a longer time without snow, there are 12 wonderful ways to enjoy a green winter. I don't know when snow will arrive. We may have several feet by the time you read this. Either way, there is a practical side to be considered: Snow is great for our economy. Northern Michigan has always been a winter playground ...
